Fox analyst: Trump-Ukraine call ‘manifested both criminal and impeachable behavior’

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano alleged that President Trump’s conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky constitutes “both criminal and impeachable behavior.”

The controversial conversation between the two world leaders back in July has continued to make headlines after a CIA officer filed a whistleblower complaint in regards to what was said during the call. The complaint led the White House to release a transcript of the conversation and it proved that Trump asked Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden.

Napolitano authored an opinion piece on the network’s website Thursday morning which claims, “That conversation manifested both criminal and impeachable behavior.”

He goes on to lay out the definitions of criminal acts, including the solicitation of aid, bribery and attempted bribery, intimidating witnesses, campaign finance law, and implies that Trump committed all of these crimes.

“The president has taken an oath to enforce federal law, not break it. He cannot lawfully impose conditions — conditions that benefit him alone — as a prerequisite to compliance with the law,” he writes.

Trump upheld nearly $400 million in military aid to Ukraine in an attempt to convince Zelensky to act on the president’s request for a “favor,” however Ukraine was unaware of it and he has more recently threatened and attacked the whistleblower for coming forward.

Earlier this week, Napolitano also said that the Biden’s have been cleared of any wrongdoing and that “there’s no there there.”
