Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined to tell CNN Tuesday whether his country has nuclear weapons, and said either way, Israel is not threatening to destroy other countries the way Iran is threatening to destroy Israel.
“Well, you can make all your assumptions. One thing is clear: Israel is not threatening the annihilation of any country,” Netanyahu told CNN when asked why he would not confirm international suspicions that Israel has nuclear weapons.
Netanyahu said Israel has said it would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons into a conflict, and when pressed further on whether that means Israel has those weapons, Netanyahu said, “It’s as good an answer as you’re gonna get.”

Netanyahu said that once the “murderous regime” in Iran gained unlimited enrichment and had a “clear path to a nuclear arsenal,” all other countries in the Middle East wanted nuclear weapons as well.
He told his county Monday night that intelligence operatives obtained “Iran’s secret nuclear files” that proved the Middle Eastern nation lied to international monitors regarding the scope of its nuclear weapons program.
