Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page chided President Trump for repeatedly bringing up her name.
“More than three years later, long after his election victory, Donald Trump is still obsessed with two officials who did their jobs while personally not liking him,” Page said on Sunday. “They are still the stars of Trump rallies, where the president performs their exchanges, grotesquely.”

Page shared an opinion article in the Washington Post titled “The President has nothing better to do.”
“I remain firm in my refusal to accept that these are public figures. These FBI employees have been lavishly punished for conducting an affair on their office phones and sharing their personal anti-Trump opinions with one another while simultaneously being professionals in government service,” wrote columnist Alexandra Petri. “Is three years of bullying and impersonation enough? Apparently not.”
Trump has repeatedly mocked text messages between Page and Peter Strzok, another former FBI official, which came to light during a Justice Department inspector general investigation, showing their animus toward the president. Both participated in the Russia investigation, which Trump often dubbed a “witch hunt,” and have since left the bureau.
Trump met with the actors from a stage play who performed at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, which depicted Page’s alleged affair Strzok.
The short play, FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers, starring Dean Cain as Strzok and Kristy Swanson as Page, was written and produced by Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, two Irish documentary filmmakers and authors.
“We met the president of the United States today in the Oval Office for 40 minutes,” McElhinney told a crowd of hundreds at the Conservative Political Action Conference during a Q&A session after a performance. “He loves the play.”
“He said he wants to play a part,” Swanson said.
Trump has also attacked others at the FBI whom he believes sought to undermine his 2016 campaign and presidency.
Former FBI Director James Comey, another frequent target of Trump’s ire, responded to one of Trump’s recent tweets with a photo playing on a Mariah Carey song.
“Why are you so obsessed with me,” the song lyrics say.
