‘Antifa will not be going after Bryce’: Trump praises UFC fighter who threatened to beat up his critics

President Trump lauded the UFC fighter who vowed to fight any of the president’s opponents following a fight in Washington, D.C., earlier this week.

Undefeated UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell, who stands at 5-feet and 10-inches tall and weighs 145 pounds, threatened to beat up Trump’s critics following his victory in a recent fight. He told the crowd, “I want to thank God for my family, my friends, my teammates. And Donald Trump, I’m up here in D.C. If you need help whooping some politician, holler at me brotha, I’ll do it for free.”

On Thursday morning, Trump retweeted a clip of Mitchell’s comments and said, “ANTIFA will not be going after Bryce or [UFC champion Colby Covington] anytime soon. They much prefer people who can’t fight back!”

Covington was the first UFC fighter to visit the White House after his victory.

Antifa protesters have been a staple of opposition to Trump, with many of their protests turning violent. The president has considered deeming the antifa a terrorist organization.

In July, Trump tweeted, “Consideration is being given to declaring ANTIFA, the gutless Radical Left Wack Jobs who go around hitting (only non-fighters) people over the heads with baseball bats, a major Organization of Terror (along with MS-13 & others). Would make it easier for police to do their job!”

There have not been any official changes as to the classification of antifa.
