Chants of “CNN sucks” could be heard in the background as CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta reported live from the president’s Monday rally in Florida.
“Members of the crowd at President Trump’s rally in Florida chant ‘CNN sucks’ as @Acosta is live on air,” the official Twitter account for the Daily Caller tweeted Monday evening, accompanied by a video of Acosta being jeered by Trump rally attendees.

“And as this crowd is chanting that there are members of the press here who suck, I should also point out what also sucks — getting the coronavirus,” Acosta says in the clip in response to the jeers.
Donald Trump Jr. acknowledged the Daily Caller’s Twitter post saying, “Fact check: true.”
His comment prompted a response from Acosta, who posted an article from Mediate focusing on his response to the hecklers, headlined, “Jim Acosta Fires Back as Trump Rally Goers Chant ‘CNN Sucks’ in Live Shot: ‘What Also Sucks? Getting the Coronavirus.’”

Trump was making his first rally appearance since being diagnosed with the coronavirus earlier this month.
“I feel so powerful,” Trump told the audience of thousands at an airport hangar outside of Orlando. “I’ll walk in there and kiss everyone in that audience. I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women and everybody.”

Trump’s physician released a statement earlier in the day informing the public that the president tested negative for COVID-19 multiple times and is “not infectious to others.”
