2 killed in Silver Spring crash

<br/></div> <p><b>UPDATE, 12:38 p.m.:</b> Police have identified the two people killed as Hyattsville residents Jenice Richards, 22, and Tamara Johnson, 19. The surviving victim is 18-year-old Desaleen James, of Silver Spring.</p> <p><b>ORIGINAL POST:</b> Two people were killed in an overnight crash in Silver Spring.</p> <p>The one-car crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday in the <a href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?q=600+University+Boulevard+East,+Silver+Spring,+MD&amp;hl=en&amp;ll=39.002444,-76.995621&amp;spn=0.017309,0.033259&amp;sll=37.0625,-95.677068&amp;sspn=36.094886,68.115234&amp;vpsrc=6&amp;hnear=600+University+Blvd+E,+Silver+Spring,+Maryland+20901&amp;t=m&amp;z=15″>600 block of University Boulevard East</a>, said Officer Howard Hersh, a Montgomery County police spokesman.</p> <p>Hersh said two people were killed and at least one other was hospitalized. Further information about the victims was not available.</p> <p>The vehicle left the road and was found in the front yard of a home, Hersh said. He said investigators are still determining why the car veered off the street and what the vehicle hit.</p>
