Attorney General William Barr’s testimony in front of the House Judiciary Committee has been delayed after Chairman Jerry Nadler was in a car accident on his way to Capitol Hill.
Nadler, a New York Democrat, was not injured, a spokesman for the congressman told the Washington Examiner. Nadler was not driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The oversight hearing with Barr, originally set for 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday, is now expected to start 45 minutes behind schedule.
“There was a minor accident, and the hearing will be delayed. Everyone is fine, no one was injured. The Chairman is in route and we expect to start around 10:45,” Nadler’s spokesperson told the Washington Examiner.
