Fox News’s Bret Baier was criticized by a Washington Post columnist for reporting on Hunter Biden’s former business associate Tony Babulinski, who said he had met with Joe Biden at least twice concerning business dealings.
“Sad to hear @BretBaier, whose journalistic integrity I respected, desperately hawking the latest Hunter Biden trash tonight,” Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank tweeted at Baier Wednesday.
“Dana-we are covering a story not hawking anything. The business partner said what he said – he said he met w/ Joe Biden. Joe Biden said he didn’t & knew nothing of Hunter’s business deals. Is it not ok to ask questions anymore? Should the NYPost be locked out of Twitter?” Baier shot back.

The response comes after Baier reported on fellow Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s interview with Bobulinski this week.
“The Joe Biden campaign is not commenting on the claim from a businessman who said he met at least twice with the former vice president to talk about his family’s business dealings. Tony Bobulinski spoke exclusively with Tucker Carlson tonight. Almost 8 million of you watched,” Baier said Wednesday on his program.
Bobulinski came forward, saying Joe Biden was aware of his son’s business dealings in China.
“I think Joe Biden and the Biden family are compromised,” Bobulinski told Carlson in the interview.
Joe Biden has claimed that he and Hunter Biden never discussed his son’s overseas business dealings and called the controversy surrounding his son a “smear campaign.”
A spokesman for Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of both the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, told the Daily Caller that all the materials reviewed so far from Bobulinski have proven to be legitimate.
Baier also hit back at CNN’s Oliver Darcy this week over criticism for covering a President Trump rally.
“Here’s @BretBaier justifying Fox taking Trump’s rallies live, by noting the channel also took Obama and Biden live as well. It’s classic bothsidesism. Trump uses air time to brazenly lie and spread misinfo, including about the coronavirus. Obama and Biden do not,” Darcy tweeted, accompanied by a clip of the segment.
Thanks for watching Oliver.. we can always count on you to tune in. Did ALL of the cable nets cover all of those speeches LIVE today? I didn’t watch. I assume they did to cover an election fairly. Have a good night. https://t.co/di213xjPdd
