Trump to deliver remarks on Alexandria shooting

President Trump will deliver remarks Wednesday about a shooting in Alexandria, Va., at a park where Republican lawmakers were practicing for an upcoming charity baseball game.

Trump will give read a statement at 11:30 a.m. in the Diplomatic Room of the White House.

Although the president had been scheduled to unveil a workforce development initiative Wednesday afternoon at the Department of Labor, he canceled the event in light of the shooting.

Vice President Pence also scrapped a scheduled speech in order to monitor the situation from the White House.
