Nancy Sinatra, the eldest daughter of the late singer Frank Sinatra, tweeted Wednesday evening in response to news that President-elect and Mrs. Trump would be dancing to “My Way.”
“Just remember the first line of the song,” Sinatra wrote.
The song starts with, “And now, the end is near.”
The verse continues to the repeated ending, which states, “I’ve lived a life that’s full, I traveled each and every highway and more, much more than this, I did it my way.”
It’s possible, however, that the president elect hat the third verse more in mind:
“Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way!”
