Special counsel Robert Mueller is pushing to subpoena 35 witnesses in the trial of Paul Manafort in Virginia.
Court documents filed last week but made public Wednesday show the special counsel asked for 35 blank subpoenas, which means the names will be filled in later.
The trial for the former Trump campaign chairman begins July 10 in Alexandria, Va. He faces charges of tax and bank fraud.
