Thursday’s live performances in the District offer diversion for storm-weary residents while presenting something for every age and interest.

The Bernie Worrell Orchestra comes to D.C., playing Thursday at the Hamilton. Worrell, often referred to as a funk iconoclast, has recently released an album featuring his take on jazz standards. He and his eight-piece band, which consists of two guitarists, one drummer, a bassist, a percussionist and a three-piece horn section, perform songs from his vast repertoire.
