Dog days of Congress: Washington Photos of the Week

Israel advanced its ground invasion into Gaza and anti-war protests broke out throughout the United States, including at the Senate.

But lawmakers and President Joe Biden this week found some levity with Halloween celebrations that featured a parade of fun costumes for children and four-legged friends.
