President Trump may temporarily be protected by a big, yellow wall in the coming days.
The commander in chief is expected to spend Thanksgiving at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., and at the airport where Air Force One usually lands for such trips, wall-to-wall yellow school buses have been parked along the Southern Boulevard fence, according to the Palm Beach Post.
The buses had previously been used to provide a make-shift barrier along the south side of Palm Beach International Airport for Trump’s prior visits, but in June it was reported that the buses had departed and there was a plan for a more-permanent solution.

However, that plan does not seem to have come to fruition yet.
The Federal Aviation Administration has issued a “VIP Movement Notification” for pilots in the area spanning Nov. 21 to the afternoon on Nov. 26, the Palm Beach Post reported Saturday, representing a slight extension from a prior notice on Tuesday. Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 23.
Trump has not stayed at Mar-a-Lago, which he dubbed the “Winter White House,” since April. The club only recently re-opened for the Winter season. Trump spent seven weekends at the South Florida property earlier this year, totaling 25 days, according to an NBC News tracker.
Editor’s note: This story has been corrected to reflect that the buses are lined up along the Southern Boulevard fence, not South Boulevard.
