The View host Joy Behar predicted former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg would fare better in a debate with President Trump than against his rivals in the Democratic primary.
Determining that “Bloomberg tanked for sure” at the Las Vegas Democratic debate Wednesday night, Behar argued the flaws shared by Trump and Bloomberg would cancel each other out, giving them room to discuss real policy issues.
“I think he will be better in a debate with Trump than he is with a bunch of judgmental Democrats, which I was watching last night, because then it’s racist against racist, sexist against sexist, rogue against rogue. And it’s very hard for them to go after each other because they’re both guilty about the same things,” Behar said on the ABC show Thursday.
Behar has repeatedly defended Bloomberg on The View, leading co-host Meghan McCain to accuse her earlier this month of “schilling” for him.
Behar previously said “every single” Democratic candidate has a racism problem during a discussion about Bloomberg’s past support of stop and frisk, for which the former mayor recently apologized.
