Woman struck, killed leaving vehicle in Tysons Corner

<br/></div> <p>Fairfax County police say a woman was struck and killed after she got out of her vehicle on a busy roadway in Tysons Corner.</p> <p>Police said a woman driving on <a href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Leesburg+Pike+and+Spring+Hill+Road,+Tysons+Corner,+VA&amp;hl=en&amp;sll=38.928498,-77.241006&amp;sspn=0.007528,0.014827&amp;vpsrc=0&amp;hnear=Leesburg+Pike+%26+Spring+Hill+Rd,+Tysons+Corner,+Fairfax,+Virginia&amp;t=m&amp;z=16″>Leesburg Pike near Spring Hill Road</a> stopped and got out of her car for unknown reasons at about 1 p.m. Monday.</p> <p>The woman, whose name was not released because her family members had not been notified, was struck by a pumper truck driving east on Leesburg Pike. She was pronounced dead at the scene.</p> <p>Police said the crash remains under investigation.</p>
