Sonia Sotomayor breaks shoulder in fall at her home

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor broke her shoulder when she fell at her home Monday, the court said Tuesday.

Sotomayor, 63, will wear a sling for several weeks. She will also undergo physical therapy, according to the Supreme Court’s Public Information Office.

The justice will continue with her normal schedule, the court said.

Sotomayor’s fall occurred in the morning, and a doctor confirmed her shoulder was broken that afternoon. The justice was in court for oral arguments in two cases Monday.
