Kim Kardashian: ‘I have nothing bad’ to say about Trump

Reality TV queen Kim Kardashian West spoke highly of President Trump in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night, confirming her husband, rapper Kanye West, is still a fan of the president’s.

“I have nothing bad to say about the president. He’s done something amazing,” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star said of Trump’s commutation of Alice Marie Johnson’s prison sentence. Kardashian West lobbied Trump to release Johnson, who was serving a life sentence on a nonviolent drug charge.

“I knew that there was only one person in power who could make this change, who could get this woman out of prison, so I went for it,” she explained.

Kardashian West detailed the call she received from Trump letting her know that Johnson would be released from prison.

“He called me. So, I was at a Steven Klein photoshoot. … It’s pretty much a nude shoot. So I’m naked, and my phone rings, and I’m all glammed up, and I’m like, ‘Get me a robe!’” Kardashian West said.

Kimmel joked that Trump would have released the “whole prison” if Kardashian West told the president she was not wearing clothes when he called.

Kardashian West said she has a list of other inmates she plans on asking Trump to release.

“Is Melania on it?” Kimmel joked.

“I love Melania,” she responded.

Kardashian West also addressed her husband’s previous comments about Trump, saying West still supports the president.

“He doesn’t necessarily agree with the policies. He likes [Trump’s] personality and how he made it to be president when everyone really underestimated him,” she said. “He’s not political, so he doesn’t really dig deep into what’s going on.”

Kardashian West added that she also does not agree with all of Trump’s policies.
