Police are looking for the man who has twice robbed a Germantown Subway restaurant at gunpoint.
The most recent happened Tuesday, when someone brandished a handgun and demanded money from a clerk at the Subway located at 12601 Wisteria Drive at about 9 p.m., according to Montgomery County police. Another robbery was reported at that Subway at about 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 11.
In both cases, the man fled from the store after obtaining cash, police said. Authorities didn’t say how much money he got.
Police believe the same man committed both robberies because of the similarities in the incidents and the descriptions provided by witnesses. The suspect is described as black, in his late 20s, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall and 150 to 170 pounds. During both robberies, he was wearing a black ski mask, black gloves, black pants and a black jacket and was carrying a handgun.
Montgomery police have posted surveillance video from the Tuesday robbery on the department’s Facebook page.
