WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Washington Examiner is delighted to welcome Chris Irvine as news editor.
As news editor, Chris will oversee all Washington Examiner’s news coverage, working closely with other editors and directly with reporters.
Irvine, who will start work on Monday, Aug. 31, was senior news editor at foxnews.com, where he has worked for two years. He was previously at the Daily Mail and before that at Telegraph newspapers.
Editor-in-Chief Hugo Gurdon says, “It’s of course great news that Chris Irvine will be joining the Washington Examiner. He is an experienced, talented, and likable journalist who will strengthen our news operation and help lift it to the next level.”
Irvine says, “I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running, especially with only a couple of months to go until arguably the most consequential election of our lifetime. 2020 has been, to state the obvious, a unique year full of challenges, but I know with the great team at the Washington Examiner, we will tackle every story and subject with vigor and drive the news agenda into November and beyond.”
Irvine graduated from St. Andrews University with a bachelor’s in international relations.
Providing intellectual capital for the nation’s capital, the Washington Examiner brings readers excellence in news coverage, reporting, and thoughtful commentary. Washington Examiner is published by MediaDC, a subsidiary of Clarity Media.
