DC mayor cheered during debate in home ward

WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray’s campaign called it a debate on his home turf, and the mayor did his best to take advantage.

Gray got louder cheers than any of his seven Democratic primary opponents during a debate Saturday morning at a high school in northeast Washington. The school is in the ward where Gray lives.
