A therapy animal group, Pet Partners, is bringing dogs to Capitol Hill to help out congressional staffers at the same time as Wednesday’s House impeachment hearing.
“Who better to bring comfort and relief to the hardworking folks on Capitol Hill than a furry group of loving, intuitive, and bipartisan Pet Partners therapy animals?” the group said in a press release according to the Hill.
The therapy dogs will “offer congressional staff a break from the stress of wrapping up an exceptionally busy year.” The group also hopes the visit will show the “health and wellness benefits of the human-animal bond.”
The dogs will be on the Hill on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. visiting office buildings on both the House and Senate side. The impeachment hearings are scheduled on Wednesday from 10 a.m to 4:30 p.m.
