Steve Bannon doesn’t deny anything written in ‘Fire and Fury’

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon says he doesn’t deny anything that author Michael Wolff published in his controversial book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.

In an interview published Wednesday with a right-wing French media outlet and translated by BuzzFeed News, Bannon said former White House communications director Hope Hicks authorized Wolff to have “total access and to speak to everyone.”

“The book has been authorized then I don’t deny anything from what is inside,” Bannon said. “The book is what it is. The reader can judge what he reads.”

Bannon claimed that “not even one person” who works at the White House has denied anything in the book. After the book’s release, however, the White House compared the book to a tabloid. Trump also lashed out at Bannon, saying he had “lost his mind” for some of the comments he made in the book.

Bannon said he still talks with Trump regularly, despite their previous feud over the book.
