Annapolis Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man outside of a townhouse Tuesday night.
Police found Marcus Antonio Wells, 35, of Carver Street, between two townhouses just before midnight in the 200 block of Croll Drive. Wells suffered from several gunshots wounds, police said.
Wells was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center and pronounced dead at 12:14 a.m.
Residents who called 9-1-1 said they heard what sounded like fireworks, but there were no witnesses to the homicide, police said.

This is the fourth homicide of 2007. Seven homicides were recorded in 2006.
