WATCH LIVE: Kamala Harris to host NCAA champions at White House for College Athlete Day


Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Douglas Emhoff will host College Athlete Day at the White House on Monday.

President Joe Biden was supposed to welcome the athletes to the White House but had to undergo a root canal Monday morning. A letter from the president’s physician said Biden identified some dental pain in one of his lower teeth and confirmed that the initial procedure was a success.

Harris will host several women’s and men’s NCAA champions from the 2022-2023 season, who will be celebrated at the White House’s South Lawn.

Biden already welcomed Louisiana State University’s women’s basketball team and the University of Connecticut’s men’s basketball team in May.

Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs visited the White House to celebrate their 2022 Super Bowl championship.
