Residents should expect brief delays and re-directions of traffic Sunday during the city?s Triathlon.
More than 1,500 athletes are expected to participate in the race, which will begin about 5 a.m. and end by 1 p.m.
Parts of the race go through downtown Annapolis and the Navy Marine Corp Stadium, but no roads will be shut down completely, Annapolis police said.
Parking will be prohibited on the City Dock from the Harbor Master’s to the Susan Campbell Memorial Park beginning Saturday at 5 a.m. and parking on Prince George?s St. from the waterfront to Randall St. will be restricted to residents only beginning at 5 a.m. Sunday.
Parking also will be prohibited on Frances Street and State Circle between Frances and School streets, Market Space and on the right hand side of Main Street from Market Space to Frances Street.
Parking restrictions will be enforced with towing, police said.
