Iconic rapper 50 Cent slammed New York City‘s plan to give $53 million to migrants, suggesting that former President Donald Trump could be “the answer.”
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, criticized a new program giving immigrants living in New York City pre-paid credit cards to make food purchases, with a family of four getting $1,000 every 28 days. Mayor Eric Adams‘s spokeswoman, Kayla Mamelak, has argued that this program will give migrants more freedom of choice in what to eat.
“WTF mayor Adams call my phone, I don’t understand how this works somebody explain,” the rapper wrote in a social media post that has since been deleted. “Can’t explain this I’m stuck maybe TRUMP is the answer.”
The rapper’s statement on Trump potentially being “the answer” is not the first time he has spoken favorably of the former president, as he stated in 2020 that he would be voting for Trump in that presidential election that year.

Last month, Jackson criticized California after the state announced it would be the first state to offer health insurance to illegal immigrants. The rapper claimed that this move would “cost 2.6 billion dollars for tax payers,” adding that “they don’t even give veterans health insurance.”
Jackson has also criticized President Joe Biden, sharing a photo on social media of the president on vacation and writing “get the f*** up, we in trouble man!”
