Target pulls Black History Month product for misidentifying black leaders

A Nevada American history teacher picked up a magnetic activity book listing iconic civil rights leaders for Black History Month at retail giant Target but later discovered multiple inaccuracies when she looked closer at it, which she captured in a viral TikTok video.

Tierra Espy, a Las Vegas high school teacher, bought Civil Rights Magnetic Learning Activity, a tin case of 26 magnets and informational cards featuring illustrations of black leaders. The activity book, however, published the wrong names and images of Carter G. Woodson, W.E.B. Du Bois, and Booker T. Washington.
