Following her loss in Nevada, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley took time to poke fun at herself in a viral video that is similar to what is seen on late-night television.
Haley posted a video resembling the “Mean Tweets” segment, which has been a staple of ABC’s late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live, in which a celebrity or politician will read off several rude social media posts directed at them. Haley’s latest viral video comes days after she made a guest appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
“Nikki Haley has a room temperature IQ, true or false?” Haley said in reading the posts. “Wow.”
Among the social media posts she read was from former President Donald Trump, in which Trump referred to Haley as “Nikki Birdbrain Haley” and called himself the “strongest border president.” Haley, who had stopped smiling when reading Trump’s statement, then looked up at the camera and asked why Trump allowed “3 million illegals to come into the country under your watch.”
Trump’s statement, however, was not written on Twitter, which has since rebranded as X, but was instead posted on Truth Social, the president’s own social media platform.

Haley’s recent appearance on Saturday Night Live also provided a chance for her to target Trump, as the two candidates are feuding in the Republican Party’s primary race for the 2024 election. In the skit, Haley played a concerned voter attending a CNN town hall in South Carolina and asked why he would not debate Nikki Haley.
The criticism of Trump does not appear to be helping her in the polls, as Haley is currently trailing the former president in her home state of South Carolina ahead of the Feb. 24 primary.
