Fort Worth police shared a video on Monday of an unidentified man walking up to a Girl Scout table near the entrance of a Walmart and grabbing the bag of cash made from the cookie sales before he ran off into the parking lot.
The girls are seen looking shocked and confused by the theft in front of the store, which took place at 2 p.m. on Feb. 11.
“The Fort Worth Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying one suspect wanted for theft,” the police announced in a social media post.
They added, “The suspect is described as black male, 18-24 years old, wearing a grey hoodie and black beanie.”
The police also posted an up-close photo of the man.
“This is disgusting,” a person reacted on social media.
One person questioned why no one reacted to the theft except the Girl Scouts, “How is everyone just standing around?”
Journalist Ian Miles Cheong slammed the media for not providing more details.

“A Girl Scout cookie stand was robbed in Fort Worth. The media is refusing to identify the thug responsible, so here he is — the photo was provided by police to help identify him and has been available since the report live. What’s the media’s excuse for not running it?” he said on X.
“Awe no. This is just wrong. Stealing from Girl Scouts!?” another person said in reaction to the police’s social media post about the incident.
