Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter is resigning his position due to concerns that “certain personal matters that are becoming public will become a distraction for this office.”
The attorney general did not elaborate on which “personal matters” may become public, but his resignation comes one day after the Oklahoman submitted questions to Hunter about an affair with a state employee who did not work in his office, people familiar with the situation told the outlet. Last week, Hunter filed for divorce from his wife.
