Tesla CEO Elon Musk suggested claims underlining transgender ideology are inconsistent.
“We are simultaneously being told that gender differences do not exist and that genders are so profoundly different that irreversible surgery is the only option,” Musk tweeted Saturday, adding that “perhaps someone wiser than me can explain this dichotomy.”
The billionaire took to Twitter to push back against criticism of Matt Walsh’s What is a Woman? documentary, which was released earlier this month.

“I wonder if we’re institutionalizing stereotypes about gender in the same way academics have tried to institutionalize stereotypes about how ‘hard work,’ ‘being polite,’ ‘punctuality’ and the ‘written word’ are ‘white culture,’” journalist Matt Taibbi wrote.
The documentary’s title refers to the viral moment during which Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, then a nominee for the high court, was stumped during a confirmation hearing when asked by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) to define what a woman is.
“It is a better world if we are all less judgy,” Musk added later.

Republicans have recently taken actions to crack down on gender transition-related healthcare, such as hormone blockers and sex reassignment surgery. For instance, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, announced on June 2 that he is overseeing a campaign to prevent young people from accessing such things.
In February, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton delivered a nonbinding legal opinion saying that administering transition procedures to children constituted abuse. Republican Gov. Greg Abbott then issued a directive for state child welfare officials to begin child abuse investigations into reports of transgender children receiving transition care.
