Man who allegedly vowed to kill officers plows car through Maryland police precinct

A man who called officers and vowed to kill law enforcement plowed his car into a Maryland police precinct on Sunday after leaving a trail of damage from his home, authorities said.

Timothy Joel Jackson Kahl, 24, phoned police at around 9:30 p.m. and threatened to murder officers before authorities arrived at his residence to investigate, the Havre de Grace Police Department said. When police arrived, the 24-year-old purportedly bashed into “several parked vehicles” and attempted to run down responding law enforcement officers.

After eluding custody, Kahl drove to the police headquarters, slammed into another car, and then proceeded to speed “into the front doors of the” station and “into the lobby,” the department added. He then jumped out of his vehicle and allegedly tried to attack officers before he was hit with a Taser, subdued, and brought to a local hospital.
