Quran Garner, 18, and Rashaan Vereen, 34, are both in custody in connection to the shooting, which investigators believe involved several people, as reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“There is still more work to do. The [Philadelphia Police Department] will continue to work with all of our law enforcement and community partners to identify and apprehend each and every individual responsible for these heinous crimes,” Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said, according to FOX 29.
Shots were fired on South Street after a fight broke out between two groups of people, police said. One group included Gregory Jackson, 34, and the other had Micah Towns, 23, Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore told reporters.
Jackson shot Towns, leaving him critically wounded, and Towns shot back, killing Jackson, officials continued. Garner then opened fire before fleeing the scene, and he was picked up by officers several blocks away with a gunshot wound to the hand, the outlet reported.
Garner has been charged with aggravated assault and assault on law enforcement officers. Vereen is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, conspiracy, and other related offenses.

Investigators are still piecing together Saturday’s shooting and the number of people involved.
The incident was one of several deadly shootings nationwide over the weekend. As many as 15 people died and 60 others were injured in shootings across the country as lawmakers hold talks on gun reform.
