The Biden administration and the modern political Left are built on lies. They lie to us constantly about everything.
They lie about our history. They insist that America is an evil, racist country, founded in 1619 on slavery and genocide. Historians have debunked this claim multiple times, yet Democrats continue to push it as fact. The media even awarded it the prestigious Pulitzer Prize, and thousands of school districts have incorporated it into their curricula.
The Left uses this lie to justify its revolutionary goals. Because the country was evil at its founding, they claim, America must be “fundamentally transformed” into something else. That’s why President Joe Biden felt comfortable alleging that American law enforcement is “systemically racist” and why countless Democratic politicians want to “defund the police,” even as crime rates explode.
NOT EVEN TRYING TO HIDE THE BIAS IN MIDTERM COVERAGE
Democrats and their left-wing media allies also lied to us about former President Donald Trump. They said he colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. He didn’t. They said evidence of collusion was “in plain sight.” It wasn’t — because it never existed in the first place. But the Left pushed that lie to undermine the Trump administration and divide the country.
Speaking of dividing the country, Biden said he ran for president to unite us. But he repeatedly lied about Trump praising neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginia, knowing full well that Trump specifically condemned the neo-Nazis and white supremacists, and insulted millions as “semi-fascists” just because they don’t support his radical policies.
Biden lied when he dismissed inflation as a temporary nonissue. He lied when he said his policies were “helping” to address inflation.
The Left lies when it says election integrity legislation, including voter ID, is a throwback to the Jim Crow era and another form of “voter suppression.”
Vice President Kamala Harris lied when she said the border is secure. The nearly 5 million illegal immigrants who have managed to cross the border since Biden took office would beg to differ.
Biden lied when he accused Border Patrol agents of whipping Haitian immigrants. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said the incident was evidence “of our nation’s ongoing battle against systemic racism.” But it never happened, and he knew that.
The Left lies when it says “green energy” can power the world’s largest economy. Look at the energy crisis in Europe today. European nations went all-in on “green energy,” making themselves vulnerable to foreign enemies. Now, businesses and families are suffering from skyrocketing energy costs.
The Left lies and denies science when it says preborn babies are not human beings worthy of legal protection.
And now, leftists are trying to tell us that men can get pregnant — an obviously absurd claim that no one with a grasp of reality believes.
America is a large, diverse country. We are going to have differences of opinion. That’s why free speech and open debate, the opportunity to discuss our differences and find common ground, are vital to the survival of our republic.
But America stands at a tipping point. Where is the “common ground” with these insane lies of the Left? It’s no wonder the Left has become increasingly intolerant and belligerent. It cannot stand free and open debate because it doesn’t even recognize the truth anymore.
In this great cultural battle for the future of America, which will determine the kind of country we will be and the values we pass on to our children, only one side can prevail. It’s not simply a matter of Democrat versus Republican anymore. It’s a matter of right versus wrong, normal versus insane, truth versus lies. And truth is on the ballot this November.
Americans of all political persuasions — Democratic, independent, and Republican — who value normalcy and truth must stand together and reject the lies of the intolerant Left.
