In a splashy Vogue interview, Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence inadvertently revealed why many Hollywood icons are hypocritical jokes, not solid role models.
Of all the big-name Hollywood actors and actresses, Lawrence actually often comes across as the most likable. Lawrence garnered a huge following among younger generations for her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games movie series. Lawrence grew up in a Republican family but later adopted more left-wing politics. Her liberal views were sealed this last year when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and sent abortion laws back to the states. Admitting that she discusses recurring nightmares about Fox News host Tucker Carlson with her therapist, Lawrence referenced Roe, saying, “I don’t want to disparage my family, but I know that a lot of people are in a similar position with their families. How could you raise a daughter from birth and believe that she doesn’t deserve equality? How?”
