Musician Kid Rock stood by his drunken onstage rant against television hosts Oprah Winfrey and Joy Behar almost three years later.
Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, recently sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson to discuss his controversial statements at length. He told Carlson he owns up to his comments.
“A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts. I own what I said,” Rock said. “I don’t apologize to anybody. I’m not an Oprah Winfrey fan. I got drunk and f***ing next thing, I’m on stage [saying], ‘F*** Oprah.'”
JOY BEHAR SAYS JAN. 6 HEARING SHOULD BE DRAMATIC TO KEEP ATTENTION
The rant began during a concert in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2019. Even in the moment, people in the crowd were heard calling Rock’s comments racist.
“I’m not a bad guy, I’m just an honest guy, saying I don’t like Oprah Winfrey or Joy Behar,” Rock said at the time in 2019. “They can suck d*** sideways.”
“Oprah Winfrey is like, ‘Hey, I just want black women to believe in this s***,'” Rock went on. “F*** her. She can suck dick sideways. And if you say that, people say, ‘Hey, I’m pretty sure Kid Rock’s a racist.’ I’m, like, ‘OK, fine. F*** off.'”

This wasn’t the first time Rock turned to Fox News to share his thoughts on Behar either. In 2018, he took aim at Behar during a Fox & Friends interview, saying, “Screw that Joy Behar bitch.” Host Steve Doocy quickly apologized for the singer’s comments.
