Walker dismissed the “misleading” reports that he kept his children, who have different mothers, hidden before referencing Isaiah 54:17: “No weapon formed against me shall ever prosper.”

“I’ve never denied any of my kids. I love them more than anything,” he said Saturday at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Road to Majority conference in Nashville. “They didn’t do anything, but just made me want to fight harder.”

Walker confirmed this week that he has four children: three sons and one daughter. Prior to this week, only one son, 22-year-old Christian Walker, whom Walker shares with his first wife, was publicly known.

The former All-American and Heisman Trophy-winning college football player challenged Faith and Freedom Coalition founder and Chairman Ralph Reed’s suggestion that he did not “need” a win in November nor a political career during his onstage interview.

“First of all, I do need this because when God blesses you, you’ve got to bless others,” the College Football Hall of Fame inductee said.

“No one is standing up to tell them that they’re wrong,” he added of state and federal leaders.

Walker also slammed incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), his general election opponent, for his position in favor of promoting widespread access to abortion, asking a receptive audience whether the former senior pastor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s Ebenezer Baptist Church was “a false prophet” for those beliefs.

“The man of the church he’s in stated, ‘It’s not the color of your skin, but the content of your character,'” he said. “All he talks about is the color of your skin.”

Walker will face off against Warnock, who is embroiled in a child support dispute, in what is expected to be one of the most competitive Senate races in November.
