In only 22 months, Democrats have taken America from recovery to recession. They’ve taken us from safety and security to crime and chaos. Democrats devalued the dollars in our wallets and opened the border.
When Democrats took complete control of Washington last year, the country’s best days were ahead of us. Inflation was nonexistent. Our economy was ready to boom. We were energy dominant. The southern border was secure.
SUDDENLY, DEMOCRATS AREN’T CONCERNED ABOUT THE 25TH AMENDMENT
Now we face an energy crisis, an inflation crisis, and a border crisis. Families feel less safe in their communities because the murder rate is the highest it has been in 25 years, as Democrats keep criminals on the streets. President Joe Biden created a crisis of competency on the world stage with his botched Afghanistan withdrawal and surrender to the Taliban.
For nearly two years, Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Washington Democrats have prioritized their far-left agenda over the needs of the people. Our country is on the wrong track because of their incompetence, mismanagement, and failure.
Biden began his war on American energy on his first day in office, and prices have gone up ever since. He shut down the Keystone pipeline and stopped all new oil and gas leases on federal lands. This president has leased the fewest acres of land for new energy development of any president since World War II.
Instead of producing more American energy, Biden is begging dictators in Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, and Russia to sell us more energy. They flat-out rejected him.
These attacks on domestic energy production have taken us from dominance to dependence. For families, it means eye-popping energy bills this winter. Yet Biden refuses to produce more affordable, reliable American energy.
The stress doesn’t stop with electrical bills. Since Democrats took control of Washington, prices on everything — essentials like food, gas, groceries, and rent — have gone up by more than 13%.
In March of last year, Democrats put $2 trillion on America’s credit card. The inflation crisis started a month later. Ignoring every warning, Democrats doubled down and passed another round of reckless spending in August. They raised taxes on the middle class and doubled the size of the IRS. Days after passing their second reckless spending bill, Biden issued his student loan bailout — another $420 billion added to America’s national debt.
The cost of living is skyrocketing because Democrats prioritize reckless spending over lowering costs for families. For 17 straight months, prices have gone up faster than wages. Folks who were once getting ahead are now falling behind.
Democrats prioritize an open border over America’s calls for border security, creating a record-breaking crisis at the southern boundary. Biden and the Democrats have rolled out the red carpet for criminals, drug dealers, and terrorists.
Their open border policies have led to 4 million illegal border crossings in two years. But that’s only what we know of. There are an estimated 1.4 million got-aways who escaped into the country undetected.
Powerful and deadly drugs are also pouring into this country through the southern border. Last year, drug overdoses killed a record number of Americans, and three-quarters of those overdose deaths were from fentanyl. In just one year, these deadly drugs killed one American every five minutes.
Because of Democratic mismanagement, every state is now a border state. What happens at the border no longer stays at the border. American families are suffering the consequences.
This is what America looks like with Democratic control of the House, the Senate, and the White House. The Democrats’ refusal to address the priorities of the people has led to crisis after crisis after crisis. Voters are united in their calls for an end to the Democratic-created crises.
Republicans will stop runaway government spending and reckless tax hikes. We will cut the punishing red tape that’s holding back economic growth. We will secure the border and make our communities safer. We will unleash American energy so families can afford to fill their tanks and keep their lights on.
The people deserve leaders who share their priorities.
