In a company memo, T-Mobile US announced that it will terminate all corporate employees who do not provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by April 2.
T-Mobile’s head of human resources sent an internal email, obtained by Bloomberg, saying those who have not received their first dose by Feb. 21 will be placed on unpaid leave.

“Affected employees who do not become fully vaccinated and obtain a Magenta [internal digital] Pass by April 2 will be separated from T-Mobile,” Deeanne King, T-Mobile’s chief human resources officer, said in the memo.
The memo also stated that customer service center employees will be required to show proof of vaccination but will not be placed on unpaid leave in order to “avoid impact to customer experience.”
T-Mobile also reportedly told its staff that all representatives are expected to be back working fully on-site or in a hybrid setup by April 2.

The vaccination requirements will not apply to field technicians or most in-store retail employees, the memo reportedly stated.
“While we hope every affected employee will be vaccinated and return to their workplace, we understand that for some, this means you must make a deeply personal decision,” King wrote.
King also said that exemptions will be made for medical and religious reasons, according to Bloomberg.
