Amber Heard trial after previously selling a notebook he used to take notes during the star-studded court proceedings for nearly $15,000.
Attorney Larry Forman, who shares the same home state as Depp, wasn’t involved in the case but attended in the gallery from May 16 to May 22. Forman had to arrive very early in the morning, most days at 12 a.m. each day of the trial, in order to get one of the 100 wristbands given to gallery spectators. Each wristband was inscribed with a number, the date, and “5J,” the name of the courtroom within the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
Now he is selling his wristbands for $5,000 on eBay. As of this report, there weren’t any bids on them, and there are nine days left to the auction.

Forman sat in the front right side of the gallery in order to get a good look at the jury. He said he did so because it is “the most important thing.”
“You have to see how they react to defense witnesses. Then you have to see how they react to the plaintiff’s witnesses. Then you have to see how they react during breaks,” Forman said. “Who do they look at? Who do they smile at?”
His notebook is full of his observations of jurors’ reactions to witness testimony. He had over 60 pages of notes that sold for $14,969 last week, calling it “a piece of history.”
“Having that attorney knowledge … has put me in the absolute best position to watch that and comment on it,” Forman said. He also went on to say that his observations made him confident Depp would win his case in the end.
The attorney told Insider that all the proceeds will go to the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital because of its proximity to the case. This was one of the two organizations Heard had pledged half of her $7 million divorce settlement from 2016. During the trial, it was revealed the hospital had only received $250,000, and $100,000 was paid directly by Depp himself.

Depp won all three claims of defamation against Heard, earning him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Heard in turn won one of her claims, earning her $2 million in compensatory damages.
