Avast! Johnny Depp’s return to the “Pirates” franchise may have becalmed.
Despite a Poptopic report that swirled to the delight of Depp fans Monday, Depp is apparently not in talks with Disney to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

A spokesperson for Depp denied reports that the actor is working out a $301 million deal to appear in a sixth “Pirates” film, according to Fox News Digital.
On Monday, Poptopic reported that an inside source knew of a working deal.
“What I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character,” according to the Poptopic source.
