Ivanka Trump backed her father’s election challenges to a British documentary maker in mid-December 2020, a position she abandoned in testimony presented to a House committee earlier this week.

The then-adviser to the president insisted her father should “continue to fight until every legal remedy is exhausted,” pitting her remarks against her recent sworn deposition before the House select Jan. 6 committee in which she appeared to concede she did not believe his contention the election was “rigged.”

“I think that, as the president has said, every single vote needs to be counted and needs to be heard, and he campaigned for the voiceless,” she told a documentary crew, according to the New York Times. “And I think a lot of Americans feel very, very disenfranchised right now, and really, question the sanctity of our elections, and that’s not right. It’s not acceptable.”

“He has to take on this fight. Look, you fight for what you love the most, and he loves this country, and he loves this country’s people, and he wants to make sure that their voice is heard and not muted,” she continued.

DONALD TRUMP RIPS IVANKA TRUMP AFTER JAN. 6 TESTIMONY

A clip of her remarks came from a batch of previously unseen video that filmmaker Alex Holder turned over to the Jan. 6 committee in response to a subpoena. Holder had sweeping access to former President Donald Trump during the time of the riot.

During its first public hearing of the summer, the panel played a clip of Ivanka Trump’s testimony in which she was questioned about former Attorney General William Barr’s contention that her father’s claims of the election being rigged were false.

“I respect Attorney General Barr. So I accepted what he said, was saying,” she responded, implying she disagreed with her father that the election was “rigged.”

Democrats quickly seized on the apparent rift between the two Trumps, prompting the former president to rebuke her remarks and emphasize she wasn’t involved in the election.

“Ivanka Trump was not involved in looking at, or studying, Election results,” Donald Trump said. “She had long since checked out and was, in my opinion, only trying to be respectful to Bill Barr and his position as attorney general (he sucked).”

Holder amassed a trove of never-before-seen footage while filming a three-part series titled Unprecedented, which will cover the “final six weeks of President Trump’s reelection campaign,” a spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. The film will be released later this summer.

He filmed some of the events surrounding the Capitol riot and snagged interviews with then-Vice President Mike Pence, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and more.
