Rep. Ted Lieu thinks the bishops leading the Catholic Church are “partisan hypocrites” for considering denying President Joe Biden Communion while granting it to several Republicans.

Lieu, himself a Catholic, said it would be hypocritical for the church to deny the president Holy Communion due to his stance in favor of allowing women to receive abortions, which goes against the church’s teachings, while allowing Republicans who have violated other rules to receive the sacrament.
