Facing the indoctrination of our children by far-left ideologues, I decided to start my own organization to bring awareness to this problem.
I launched “Protect Texas Kids” about halfway through April. The goal is to protect children against leftist indoctrination that is now being pushed everywhere. We see it in schools; with drag queen story hours, critical race theory and gender theory curriculum, sexually explicit library books, and more. But it’s not just about the schools. Companies such as Disney are more interested in indoctrinating children than in entertaining them. Clinics are providing “gender-affirming care” that can damage children for life. The scariest part?
Not enough people are aware of this problem.
My organization aims to address that through activism. I will be testifying at school board meetings; school districts often seem to be in a worse state than public colleges as elected school board members shift further to the left. My website, protecttxkids.org, even has a tip line for concerned parents to submit issues anonymously they are witnessing in schools so that we can help bring awareness to the issue.
Still, I’ve already received immense backlash.
Last week, I was getting ready to protest child transitions at a “trans pride rally” at my university. As I left my apartment and stepped outside to leave, I was completely shocked; the words “stay home nazi [C-word]” were spray-painted on my door, and my Ring doorbell was also blacked out. I quickly scrolled through my doorbell footage, but the vandal had managed to stay in the blind spot.
I’m still in shock that these people on the far Left, many of who claim to be “feminists,” would stalk a young woman to find out where she lives and then commit a hate crime. These people are complete hypocrites. I did, however, go to the event to protest as planned. Antifa members there took credit for the vandalism. But remember, this crime came in response to my advocating the protection of children.
Although this attack shook me up, I’m not backing down. Indeed, I’m even more motivated to make a difference.
