Just hours after he grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland on targeting parents angry with liberal school boards, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz flew to Houston for Game 2 of the World Series, where he predicted a Houston victory and took a picture with a “Let’s Go Brandon” protester.
In a trademark Houston Orange Crush shirt, Cruz predicted the Astros would win in six games.
He conceded that the Game 1 loss to the Atlanta Braves, 6-2, was due to “rocky” pitching. But he later told a Fox 26 reporter that he believed Houston’s pitching would settle down and win the series.
He was correct, at least for Game 2 when Houston won 7-2 Wednesday night.
Cruz also boldly posted a picture posting with an Astros fan holding a “Let’s Go Brandon” sign that was also decorated with the initials “FJB,” an apparent reference to the college football chant of “F*** Joe Biden” that led to the Brandon meme.
