Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) suggested there were a few things he would rather do before sitting down for dinner with Jan. 6 committee member Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) — including trimming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) toenails with his teeth.

Gaetz joined Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on her podcast MTG: Live on Tuesday night, slamming the integrity of Thursday’s Jan. 6 hearing in light of Schiff’s now-debunked claims of former President Donald Trump’s Russian collusion.

“If you peel back the layers of the onion on the Russia hoax and the Ukraine, kind of like bad knockoff of the Russia hoax, at the core of it all is Adam Schiff’s deep-rooted narcissism,” Gaetz told Greene. “He needed to be the star of these things, and it resulted in him truly writing these works of fiction and then trying to draw the American people into them. Those failed.”

Gaetz questioned how much of a voice Schiff might have during the Jan. 6 committee hearing, wondering if “Democrats are willing to ride and die with Adam yet again” before affirming that Schiff is his least favorite member of Congress.

The Florida Republican said he would rather “give Nancy Pelosi a sponge bath than endure one dinner with Adam Schiff,” to which Greene said, “That is disgusting.”

“Just to bring this into technicolor for you, OK, a lot of people would say maybe Pelosi is their least favorite member. No way!” Gaetz insisted. “I would trim her toenails with my teeth before I would have dinner with Adam [Schiff].”

Gaetz and Greene discussed whether Schiff should be allowed to remain a member of Congress.

“I think he should be expelled from Congress, and I think he owes a debt to the American people for all the tax dollars that he has wasted, emotional harm, complete and total — he destroyed people’s character through his efforts, and he’s continuing to do so. I honestly think that he should actually, possibly be prosecuted and put in jail.”

Gaetz disagreed, noting it might be their first disagreement.

“I would not expel him from Congress. I would not allow him to sit on committees, but I fundamentally believe that the only people who get to pick who is in Congress are the people in that district.”

Greene said she respected that.

The representatives also blasted the Jan. 6 committee, saying the hearing was part of its effort to “impeach an entire movement” of people seeking election integrity.
