Twitter confirmed on Thursday that it is gradually rolling out tests of the Edit Tweet button to all subscribers to Twitter Blue, its premium subscription service in the U.S. The company tested the feature outside the U.S. on Monday.

“The Edit Tweet test is expanding and now rolling out to Twitter Blue members in the US,” the company tweeted. “Go ahead, try it out!”

The edit function will only be available for the initial 30 minutes after a tweet is published. It will also include an icon, a time stamp, and a label so users can tell if the original tweet was modified. If a user clicks on the label, he or she will be able to see past versions of the tweet.

The company confirmed in September that it was testing an edit button internally. It later expanded the tool to Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

While not every user will have access to this function, all users will be able to tell if a tweet was edited. “Given that this is our most requested feature to date, we wanted to both update you on our progress and give you a heads up that, even if you’re not in a test group, everyone will still be able to see if a Tweet has been edited,” the company wrote.
