Our Democratic grader, pollster John Zogby, gave a rare “D” and said that it was a hell week for Biden. “Someone turned up the heat in hell this week,” he said in his review.

Zogby also noted that the supportive liberal media has started to turn on Biden. In recent weeks, the press has begun to report on his poor staffing, delayed decision-making, and even suggestions that Democrats don’t want Biden to run for reelection.

Conservative grader Jed Babbin said the week made it an easy one to grade — with an “F.”

Grade: D

For Biden, someone turned up the heat in hell this week.

Wholesale prices are annualized at 10.6%, the Federal Reserve bumped up the interest rate another 0.75%, and the average cost at the pump went above $5 per gallon.

A huge majority, 82%, said the economy is a disaster, and Democrats in competitive races are abandoning any identification with the president. Economists are now worried about a recession.

Things seem out of control, but Republicans have no reason to gloat because they have no economic program, no desire to fight a war, and if they win in November, then they own all of this.

But the guy at the top is the nation’s flak-catcher. He has a series of important accomplishments, but he can’t get the message out, nor will anyone carry the message for him.

Grade: F

It’s hard to know where to begin cataloging this week’s disasters created by Team Biden. Yes, we’re SNABU’d with everything from inflation to illegal immigrants and a whole lot more.

Inflation remains at about 8.6%, the worst it’s been since President Jimmy Carter’s days. The price of gasoline is now over $5 per gallon nationally and rising. And the stock market is in a massive slump, having lost over 20% of its value (about 7,000 points) since January. Biden is repeating the lie that the economy is doing well, getting angry when challenged about his statements, and not doing a bloody thing to undo the mess he’s made.

Biden sent a letter to oil company executives threatening them with his exercise of “emergency powers” if they didn’t cut the cost of gasoline. The problem isn’t the oil companies, but the refinery capacity we lost and the recovery of which the government is working actively to prevent. Team Biden is, by the way, refusing to open pipelines such as Keystone, and Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said that gasoline prices are “unsustainable,” but they are forcing the shift away from gas to electric cars.

The Fed raised interest rates by 0.75 of a point, hoping to stem inflation and may do so again next week. Mortgage rates are now at their highest since the 2008 home loan-induced financial crisis.

Meanwhile, illegal immigration is (again) at an all-time high. Last month alone, about 240,000 people crossed illegally and were caught (including 15 on the FBI’s terrorist list). Biden’s open borders are a major threat to national security.

Celebrating LGBT pride month, Biden signed an executive order promoting it, and his administration is flying the LGBT flag at U.S. embassies around the world, which is illegal. (Note to Merrick Garland: The only flags that can be flown on embassies, by law, are the U.S. flag and the Vietnam POW flag.)

On a more amusing note, Biden may have found another way to keep Vice President Kamala Harris in trouble. She’s now the czar of a new government panel, apparently separate from the DHS “Disinformation Governing Board,” to seek out and limit online gender-based disinformation speech. Like the DGB, it’s unconstitutional, but that’s of no concern to Joe & Co.

It was another week in which Biden would have earned a grade lower than an “F” if there were one.
