Sen. Ted Cruz had harsh words for Jimmy Kimmel after the comedian mocked the Texas Republican during a segment of his late-night show.
“@JimmyKimmelLive keeps talking crap,” Cruz tweeted. “Really tough guy. Here’s a reminder, when we played one-on-one, I kicked his a**. He has to live with that…forever. Rematch, punk?”

Cruz was responding to Kimmel’s segment that mocked the senator for his complaint about a recent Army recruiting ad, which Cruz said made the military look “emasculated” when compared to a Russian army recruitment advertisement.
“Holy crap. Perhaps a woke, emasculated military is not the best idea,” Cruz said of the ad, eliciting a response from Kimmel.
CRUZ TOPS KIMMEL IN BASKETBALL GAME NO ONE WANTS TO WATCH AGAIN
“Ted Cruz, who four years ago took permanent residence up the a** of a man who beat him in every election by calling his wife ugly and slandering his elderly father, says this is emasculating,” Kimmel said. “Primarily because Ted Cruz is not human — he’s a moist, gelatinous tube worm whose elastic band pants are filled with an inky discharge every time he speaks.”
Kimmel then responded to Cruz’s tweet during another segment Monday, mocking the senator for boasting about winning a game that featured over 200 missed shots.
“After you won the game, do you remember what I did? I said, ‘Good game, thanks,’ and I shook your disgusting hand,” Kimmel said. “I didn’t complain that it was rigged. I didn’t ask for a recount on the referee. I didn’t start a conspiracy theory about the basketball having a microchip in it. I accepted it. I brought shame on my family, and I embraced it, as I always do. And, I mean, listen, it was a terrible day. I lost a basketball game to a man who ate one of his own boogers during a presidential debate.”

This isn’t the first time Cruz and Kimmel have publicly sparred with each other, with Kimmel mocking Cruz after the senator attended a Houston Rockets playoff game and Cruz responding by challenging the comedian to a one-on-one game.
The two played that game for charity later in 2018, which Cruz emerged from with a painstaking 11-9 victory.
